What do we do?

Live an unforgettable experience in the Ebro Delta with this self-guided kayak route to the iconic Sant Joan Tower, located next to the spectacular Trabucador Bay. A perfect activity to enjoy nature, disconnect, and discover one of the most unique landscapes in Catalonia from the water.

The route takes place on calm and shallow waters, making this route an ideal option for beginners as well as families with children, couples, or groups of friends. During the journey, you can paddle at your own pace while admiring the natural beauty of the surroundings and observing the characteristic wildlife of the Ebro Delta, with high chances of seeing flamingos and other wild birds.

The main destination of the route is the historic Sant Joan Tower, an old watchtower built in 1576 to protect the Alfacs Bay. Its ruins, surrounded by the natural landscape of the delta, create a unique setting where history and nature merge.

The experience lasts approximately an hour and a half and includes a kayak, paddle, and life jacket. The meeting point will be at the Deltanature La Tancada campsite, where the team will accompany you to the dock and explain the route in detail before starting the activity.

At the end of the kayak route through Trabucador Bay, you can relax and enjoy the campsite facilities, such as showers, bar, and swimming pool, completing a perfect day of leisure and nature.

An activity recommended for those who want to discover the Ebro Delta in an active, safe, and different way, enjoying unique landscapes, tranquility, and direct contact with the natural environment.
