We will meet in front of the main entrance to the Sant Pau Modernist Site, a magnificent modernist jewel, often overshadowed by the fame of other contemporary buildings.

We will talk about the need to modernize healthcare during the 19th century, and how Pau Gil's initiative allowed the construction of one of the most modern and ambitious hospitals of its time. Walking through the gardens and pavilions of this site, declared a World Heritage Site in 1997, we will discover how it was a pioneer in areas such as traumatology, transplants, and simple emergency care.

All this, without neglecting to highlight the figure of its architect, Lluís Domènech i Montaner, the great architect who introduced modernism to Catalonia.
