Visit the Cabanas Foundation – Cal Gerrer, one of the most original cultural spaces in Sant Cugat del Vallès, located in a 19th-century former ceramic factory converted into a museum. This unique building, popularly known as Cal Gerrer, stands out for its spectacular modernist-inspired facade, decorated with ceramic pieces made in the building itself.
The foundation, private and non-profit, was created with the aim of preserving this important architectural heritage and spreading various collections of great historical and artistic value.
During the visit, you can discover the Marilyn Museum, which houses one of the most important collections in Europe dedicated to Marilyn Monroe, with photographs, documents, publications, and objects that trace the life and career of one of the great icons of 20th-century cinema.
The tour also allows you to learn about the history of the former ceramic products factory of the Arpí family, as well as admire an interesting collection dedicated to traditional ceramics and the artistic work of the Cabanas-Alibau brothers.
Located next to the historic Monastery of Sant Cugat, this museum offers a different cultural experience that combines industrial heritage, architecture, art, photography, and history in a unique setting.
