The Cinema Museum-Tomàs Mallol Collection is a permanent, non-profit institution, open to the public as a space for scientific, cultural, and recreational participation by citizens, serving society and its development.
Its origin lies in the acquisition of the Tomàs Mallol Collection of cinematographic and pre-cinematographic objects by the Girona City Council on January 28, 1994; it is located in the former headquarters of the city's water company, a late 19th-century building known as the "House of Waters".
Its goal is to become a center for the promotion of the world of cinema and visual spectacles, thanks to a continuous program of activities and services that allow interaction with visitors, aimed at a very broad audience, local, national, and international.
