What do we do?

This route around the Cathedral and other nearby buildings will help us understand Tortosa's relationship with the Ebro River, its privileged location, as well as show visitors monumental buildings and elements of the city such as the Episcopal Palace, the Angel Fountain, the Oliver de Boteller Palace, Carrer de la Rosa, or Plaça de la Cinta, where civil Gothic architecture blends with the Baroque at Portal dels Romeus, the Baroque at Portal de l'Olivera, and Modernism at the spectacular Casa Grego.

We can also admire the Royal Colleges, the most important Renaissance-style building complex in Catalonia, with the former Church of Sant Domènec, the first University of Tortosa, and the College of Sant Jaume and Sant Maties, a place for teaching the Christian faith to converted Jews and Moriscos in the 16th century.

It allows us to visit other places of interest such as the Castle of la Suda, the Apse, and the monumental unfinished Baroque façade of the Cathedral, discovering the reasons for the interruption of the work.
