Catalán
Reus became the second city of Catalonia in the 18th and 19th centuries due to its industrial and commercial activity, based on spirits and vermouths, the textile industry, and its local trade. An example of the importance of its traditional commercial activity is the various historic and century-old shops it preserves.
With this route, we will learn the little stories of the oldest shops in the city, their decoration, their protagonists, their anecdotes, and curiosities. We will discover small museums of daily life and the vitality of one of the most beautiful cities in Catalonia.
The tour begins at Plaça de Prim, from where we will delve into the oldest shops in the city that best preserve elements such as furniture, decoration, and objects. We will visit a pharmacy, a fabric shop, a candle shop, a pastry shop, a grocery store, and a photography shop. We will finish with a tasting of vermouths from Reus.
