It is the summer of 1906. Teresa, the young maid of the Viladomiu family, lives her last summer in the Torre del Amo. As she goes about her chores, she guides us through the house sharing, with ingenuity and emotion, her vision of the power relations between the great textile fortunes and the intimate stories of those who lived in the tower.
This new immersive visit turns the tour into a real journey through time: portraits that come to life, projections on walls and glass, and mirrors that bring back echoes of the past. All this creates an immersive atmosphere to discover what life was like at the beginning of the 20th century in an industrial colony.
The experience includes the history of the textile colonies, with a special focus on Viladomiu Nou. In the subway floor there is a photographic exhibition on various colonies in Catalonia; on the main floor there is an interactive visit with audio and video, which ends in the attic. And to close, you can climb to the top of the tower to enjoy a panoramic view of the colony, Gironella and the surrounding mountains.
A suggestive proposal that combines history, emotion and technology to relive the memory of a time that deeply marked the landscape and Catalan society.
